Earning our Discover Primary Science Award of Excellence by John Scottus School in Dublin
As you all know, applications for the Awards of Science Excellence 2006 are due in on the 12th May. We visited one school that will be applying for the Award this year and found that they were busy hosting an open day for parents and the community. The day demonstrated how much fun the children have been having with science this year as well as earning them a credit towards the Award. Students and teachers at John Scottus school in Dublin presented an impressive array of activities from the DPS classroom pack.
The children also gave a lot of other interesting demonstrations including a magnet game and showed their other projects like growing potatoes. They also displayed photos of the boys and sailing the boats they designed in the pond in their local park.
So get your logbook ready and you could be proudly displaying your Award of Science Excellence in September!
