Dublin Zoo

Dublin Zoo provides comprehensive and varied educational programmes for primary schools and is an accredited Discover Primary Science and Maths (DPSM) centre.
All the DPSM programmes are based on the ‘Living Things’ module of the Primary Science Curriculum for schools. These programmes vary from ‘Explore Africa’, where in the vast expanse of the African savanna the children witness the colour variety of the many herbivores which populate the magnificent grassland, to ‘Rainforest Discovery’ which allows children to immerse themselves in a tropical rainforest experience surrounded by colourful birds, mammals and reptiles.
Or why not try ‘The Art of Butter Churning’ in which students are led on a tour of Family Farm, followed by the interactive farming experience of making butter themselves or perhaps our ‘Living Earth’ programme, involving hands-on activities such as pond-dipping and bug hunts while learning about animal adaptations and habitats.
